The most important place in our house (and I imagine in most UK homes), is .........our fridge. We tend to open it about 20 times a day! Use the everyday household fridge to advertise your business. A fridge magnet is such a simple but effective advertising tool.
They are easy to make and if you produce one that is colourful with a sweet kitten or puppy on it; families will be more than happy to adorn their fridge with it. Your valuable contact phone number will then always be on hand.
I saw a sheet at the photo section in ASDA to produce magnets from photos. They had a plastic covering, but you could find a company that produces magnets on a flat sheet with no plastic coating.
