What Services can you offer?

Pet sitters are individuals that provide pet and home care services. You can choose to specialise in certain specific types of services or you can offer an array of services useful to different type of pet owners.

*You can visit the pet owners home, usually for about 20-30 minutes to care for their pets and the home during their absence.

*Provide walks and exercise at midday or other times as needed for dogs.

*Keep an eye on the owner's home by performing security checks, watering plants, opening curtains, putting out rubbish on the correct day, collecting mail and tending to aquariums as needed.

*You could actually stay in a person's home if they so wish whilst they are away.

*You can socialise any young dogs by taking them to parks or puppy groups if the owners are too busy.

*You can care or board small pets and rabbits in your own home.

*You can be called upon in an emergency to look after pets if the owner is taken ill. Many insurance companies will pay for this emergency care if the pet has private healthcare such as Petplan so do not be shy to charge accordingly in the case of emergency pet sitting cover.

*The job of moving house or the British love of DIY can all be disruptive to small pets such as exotics or birds. If you offer a service to these pets in your own home, this will prove invaluable to owners.

*You can provide a pet taxi service to and from the grooming parlour or vet.

*Selling or delivering pet food and supplies can be offered as an additional service to pet owners.
